Adlore’s is developing a boot device that will allow patients with diabetic foot ulcers DFUs) to receive treatment at home on a personalized schedule, unlike many current treatments that may require numerous medical facility visits. The Adlore device will have a custom-made insole with a cutout to offload weight and reduce wound pressure. The cutout will be surrounded by four electrodes and sensors. The electrodes will be connected to an electrical stimulator to provide electrical impulses to reduce inflammation and increase blood flow to the wound. The device will also provide controlled heat from the knee to the toes. The combination of ES and heat are synergistic and will enhance blood flow in people with diabetes.
The performance will be monitored and regulated by a controler, and any changes will be communicated via Wi-Fi to the patient and clinician. In some cases, the information may be communicated to payers.
