Innovator’s Pitch Challenge

Single Pass, Inc. is a seed stage medical device development that has developed an innovative, patented electrocautery device that helps improve the safety of solid organ biopsy procedures. The new device cauterizes the tissue tract cut by the biopsy guide needle and tissue extractor to prevent and stop bleeding which can lead to serious adverse events such as hematoma formation, hemorrhage and even death. Use of the Single Pass device will save hospitals procedures costs and reduce the number of reinterventions while benefiting patient outcomes. The device will be commercially available in Europe by the Q4 of 2022 and in the US by Q1 of 2023.
